Let's Get Past the Fake

Time for another call down to planet earth.

"I want to fall in love. I want the right person for me. When we meet, looks won't matter. I'll love them for who they are."

How adorable. The relationship we all dream of. that one person we all want, the one with who looks won't matter. Let's get a wake up call.

I know one person who made a relationship work where "looks don't matter". She is one of the most strong willed girls I know and that is what helped. that is the only thing making the relationship work: the fact that she won't believe that looks matter.

I'm sincerely glad for you if you are that strong-willed. No, I respect you with all of my being. I am not a superficial or shallow person. Thus I am forced to admit: Looks DO count.

Of course we yearn for a personality, but look to the logical side of things. You notice someone for their looks, you fall in love with someone because of their personality. Yes, I admitted it, you fall in love with someone for their personality. But you can never deny that you notice someone for their looks.

I'm not asking you to prove me wrong. All I'm asking you to do, is to look at yourself and realise what you are saying.
And think.

Peace

The Importance of Catharsis

Recently I have been struggling extremely with expressing my feelings. This also lead to a problem with bottled up emotions and how to get rid of them.

Normally I'd just have a debate with someone and yell a lot, or watch a sad movie and cry, and then I'd be all better. But something was preventing me from feeling.

To distract myself, I thought I'd go do a bit of research:

According to Wikipedia.com, tears are a secretion from the eye. I think that's rather an obvious fact (for those of you who were worrying, no you're not leaking...). These cleansing (yes they clean and have an anti-bacterial function) droplets can be brought forth through laughing or crying. The two best ways, incidentally, to maintain a harmony in you body and also the easiest ways to lose weight.

Now all of this information is lovely, but helps nothing if you still can't cry. This is normally where people resort to substance abuse, or worse self inflicted pan. I know I have no right to judge, but you should never have to resort to hurting yourself physically (if you do struggle with this, at least try to talk to someone close to you!).

My simplest solution, read a good book, reminisce and then decide to find all your things you can be sad about. Grab a teddy bear (yes I have a whole bunch, and they tend to be the best companions) and hug them. They are the only ones who will never ever judge you and will always be there :)

And remember even when you feel like there's no-one to love you, drop me a mail. I'll see what I can do :)

Peace peepz.

Awesome Denim Bag!

As promised after my long absence, I am making my second post this week!

Again I'm not being extremely insightful or deep in this one, I'm just going to show off a new awesome accessory I got.

I am now proud to introduce to you my Denim Bag:

My Aunt made me this from a denim I actually used to wear myself! Pretty legit if you think bout it. It's a great way to recycle and becomes an amazing fashion accessory. That and, honestly, how many of you would not die for a bag as versatile and unique as this?

Other features (goodness, I've become a Glomail add...) are that the material is sturdy (hello, it's denim?), and that there are pockets everywhere! I have never had as many pockets on me ever before :P

Last but not least (okay, seriously creepy with all the Glomail) is the absolute adorable feature that your original buttons and zip are still on the bag which give it a lovely authentic aesthetic touch.

Oh yeah, that and my friend says she can just imagine a guy standing around with only one of these on him :P

Guild Wars 2

Finally it is within my grasp! I have acquired the ultimate in treasures!!! It's Guild Wars 2... And I have been waiting in agony for at least a year for its release.
Okay, so that last sentence probably gave away how "hardcore" a fan I am (meaning, hardly at all). To be quite honest I only found out about the game at this amazing expo, rAge, last year. Apparently the real fans have been waiting for YEARS! But it does not mean that I was not waiting in anticipation.

First of all the land is called Tyria. It is a wonderful world filled with strange and wonderful beings. Unfortunately it is under siege of the Elder Dragons and their undead armies. Now all the races must unite and lay aside their petty feuds or else be consumed.

I am Sylvari. A race of plant like sapient beings born of a tree that has become sentient. They learn all they need to live in this world by the dream given to them by the Pale Tree. Unfortunately the dream is in peril, threatened not only by the infamous Nightmare Court (a rogue group of Sylvari who wish to corrupt the dream with Nightmare) but also from Zaithan (the Elder Dragon and beginner of all evil) and his undead army, threatening to destroy all that lives, all that grows. And according to the Sylvari, Everything has the Right to Grow.

My profession is that of a Mesmer. A scholar type known as a trickster and illusionist. My abilities cause chaos. I add random effects that damage my foes and can add random effects that give bonuses to me and my allies. I summon illusions and clones that attack my foes and distract their attention from me. Best part of all, when an illusion or clone shatters, they burst into a storm of butterflies!!!

This is Me, Elanuin. I am Sylvari, I believe that all deserves a right to grow, I am a Mesmer, I confuse and trick my foes with chaos and illusions, I dreamt of a Wyld Hunt to go and slay a Great Dragon before my people die. This is me and this is my story...
